Students will engage in profession-based experiences in a dynamic, business-like setting. Students within the Advanced Manufacturing Technologies strand will pursue knowledge and develop skills in the advanced manufacturing field, including 3D modeling software, the use and application of the design process, and many forms of digital equipment. Access to the Center of Design and Innovation will offer personalized digital fabrication tools and be equipped with an array of flexible computer-controlled equipment/machinery, with the aim to make technology-enabled products. This course offers a multidisciplinary approach to teaching the underlying principles of computation and introduces students to the creative aspects of computer science and advanced manufacturing. Students will apply their learning through projects that require collaborative teams to solve problems and communicate results to business and industry partners.
